Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast at your accommodation in Entebbe, you'll begin your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, located in northern Uganda—approximately 390 km away, about a 6 to 7-hour scenic drive. Along the way, you’ll pass through the gently rolling landscapes of Nakasongola District, then take a brief detour at Nakitoma to visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, located 170 km north of Kampala. This sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you can see wild rhinos, and currently, it is home to around 46 southern white rhinos. Enjoy a guided rhino tracking experience, where you'll learn about rhino conservation efforts and explore the sanctuary on foot with trained rangers. The sanctuary also offers great birding and nature walk opportunities.
After your rhino trek, continue your drive with a lunch stop at Kabalega Diner on the highway. From there, proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest protected area. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge, relax, and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Rise early for a morning game drive on the northern side of the park. This is the best time to spot wildlife, including early risers and nocturnal animals before they retreat. Murchison Falls is home to four of the "Big Five" (lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo), along with giraffes, antelopes, hyenas, and more.
In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise along the Nile River toward the base of Murchison Falls. Expect to see hippos, Nile crocodiles, and a variety of birds like the African fish eagle. The boat ride offers fantastic photographic opportunities and culminates with breathtaking views of the mighty falls.
Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, enjoy a second game drive, giving you another opportunity to spot any wildlife you may have missed previously. After an early lunch, drive to the Top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile squeezes through a narrow 7-meter gorge before plunging 43 meters below—creating one of the most powerful waterfalls in the world. On sunny days, a natural rainbow forms over the falls, adding to the magical experience. There’s also a unique viewpoint where you can feel the refreshing spray from the Nile—a natural shower like no other. After your visit, return to the lodge for a relaxed evening and overnight stay.
